Rhône, France

Moillard doesn’t actually own property in Rhone, they purchase grapes from some of the most reputable growers in this region, but one would never know because the wines are absolutely top quality, just as if the grapes were cared for by their own proprietor. Moillard uses newer technology to produce their wines, such as cool fermentation, in combination with the traditional Burgundian maturation in new and old oak. The technology allows good extraction of fruit and bouquet while the tradition produces more depth and complexity. Their Cotes du Rhone is a delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre and it got its name from the actual aromas of violets. Shelftalkers  Winery Website
