Bourgogne, France

At the heart of Burgundy, Symphorien Moillard founded the celebrated House in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1850. Today, under the leadership of Vincent Sauvestre, we perpetuate Burgundian traditions and skills with patient dedication.  Moillard deals with 30 hectares of vines that stretch from Vougeot to Pommard. Half of them are Premiers Crus and Grands Crus. The other half are situated in Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. As an Eleveur-Négociant, we also produce wines from thoroughly selected grapes purchased from over 100 growers in Burgundy, Beaujolais and the Rhône Valley. Moillard was acquired by Bejot Vins & Terroirs in 2008. Shelftalkers  Winery Website
md-bourg-blancBourgogne Blanc Chardonnay 'Tradition"
For entry-level white Burgundy, this is remarkably refined. Midweight and bright, it shows good depth and complexity suggesting orchard fruit, vanilla, toasty oak and a lees-like creamy-tangy quality. The balance and freshness are excellent, with half the cuvée aged in oak and half in stainless tanks.

White gold. Floral notes mingle with apple, lemon and hazelnut. In the mouth, they are fleshy, solidly built and well balanced.

With a pale gold color and mineral and citrus notes, this is an opulent white wine, full of flavor. Great with shrimp or lobster, white meats, cream sauces or goat cheese. 100% Chardonnay aged in stainless steel tanks.
md-bourg-rougeBourgogne Pinot Noir "Tradition"
Bright, juicy and round with fresh red and dark fruit flavors. This is a lighter style Pinot Noir, with rich midpalate, soft tannins and a smooth, fresh finish. Very nice layers and complexity for a moderately priced red burgundy.

Delicious, fresh pinot noir, full of strawberries, smoky wood, and juicy tannins. Organically grown. Ten months aging in tanks and barrels (30%).
md-savignySavigny les Beaune Rouge
Deep cherry color, bouquet of small red and black fruits (blackcurrant, cherry, raspberry) and flowers (violet). Body is ample and discreetly tannic and the fruit remains present. Roundness, volume, power and balance are all here, and in just the right proportions.
