Languedoc, France

In 1995, Moillard acquired 207 acres in “Pays d’Oc”, Domaine du Chateau D’Eau, which had belonged to Monsieur Henry de Monfreid, a writer-adventurer. A water tower was built on one of the farms and the new domaine was named after it: Chateau D’Eau. The vineyards are situated next to the town of Beziers in the region of Languedoc. Today, the gentle sloping vineyard faces south to southeast, which leads to a picturesque pinewood forest. hectares (750 acres) belonging to the family of Henry de Montfreid, famous writer and adventurer.
