Pedro Parra is a terroir expert who dedicated his life trying to unravel the relationship between WINE and TERROIR. For the last 11 years Pedro has been traveling the world studying vine roots and their terroir. After more than 25 000 calicatas (pits) around the world, Pedro realizes that their is no place like home and decided to start Pedro Parra y Famila. Granite and schist are now his every day companions.
Pencopolitano
Pencopolitano is a red blend from 6 different vineyards, all of them Old vines, from Cauquenes and Itata. All the vineyards are composed with red granite soils, dry farmed, and many of them field blends. The wine is about red fruit flavours and complex soil notes along with hints of chamomile. In the mouth the wine shows an incredible mineral attack from the granite soil, very fresh and long. This wine holds natural acidity and no oak.
